Engineering Associate

About the Role:

 

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the development, improvement, and quality of our industry-leading cooling products. You'll work closely with experienced engineers to contribute to various projects, from maintaining product records to creating technical documentation.

The role involves working with the Engineering Team to support day to day activities as well as implementation of short, medium, and long-term projects.

 

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Configure and maintain accurate engineering records in our MRP database.
  • Undertake product design activities, generating and updating designs, CAD models, and drawings.
  • Create, manage, and close out Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), ensuring all supporting documents are readily available.
  • Collaborate across teams and functions to ensure awareness of and compliance with company policies, quality systems and environmental standards and other relevant legal requirements.
  • Develop and prepare product literature and technical documentation, including manuals, flyers, and data sheets.
  • Assist with product testing and analysis to ensure accurate results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams like Production, Purchasing, Quality, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Promote and maintain the highest degree of health, safety and well-being for yourself and others.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

  • Experience working in an engineering test environment with a strong focus on detail.
  • An Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant mechanical trade qualification (desirable).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
  • The ability to draw, draft, and use desktop publishing software like InDesign, Creo, or SolidWorks.
  • A self-motivated and results-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to meet project deadlines.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external customers.
  • A professional and well-presented demeanor.
