About the Role:

This role provides engineering and technical support for product development of Gas Appliances.  This role will be instrumental in delivering Seeley’s vision to provide customers with the most innovative and highest quality products at competitive prices.

The role will support new product development, cost reductions, product and component validation, verification and compliance testing and warranty improvement activities, and will involve day to day Production, Service and Sales support, as well as planned management, development, and implementation of short-, medium- and long-term projects.

This role is based at Seeley’s Lonsdale facility and in the initial phase, will involve working with Seeley’s Albury engineering team to transfer knowledge, and occasional travel to Albury will be required.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with the team to develop new gas heating products that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to existing products.
• Conduct research and implement new technologies to improve our gas product range.
• Provide technical support to Production, Service, and Sales teams.
• Manage and maintain accurate design records.
• Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to safety procedures.
• Collaborate across teams and functions to ensure awareness of and compliance with company policies, quality systems and environmental standards and other relevant legal requirements.

What you'll bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Experience in Gas Appliance development and approvals is a plus.
• Component and assembly design to suit Seeley International’s manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
• The ability to draw, draft, and use desktop publishing software like InDesign, Creo, or SolidWorks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A results-oriented approach with the ability to meet deadlines.
• The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and research skills
